CMAQ Training

Hands-on CMAQ training is offered at the CMAS Center twice a year. The 2 day training classes are held at the Center for Environmental Modeling for Policy Development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The CMAQ training includes lecture and laboratory exercises. The lecture sessions teach students the key concepts involved in air quality modeling, CMAQ modeling terminology, and the features of CMAQ. The laboratory exercises provide hands-on experience with configuring, running, and troubleshooting the CMAQ programs.

The CMAQ training agenda and the schedule for upcoming classes are posted on the CMAS Training web page.

The CEMPD training lab consists of IBM ThinkPad laptops running Fedora. As a mobile training facility we are able to offer on-site CMAQ training anywhere in the world. Contact the CMAS Support and Training Coordinator to discuss pricing and scheduling for on-site CMAQ classes.
