Several datasets are required to run SMOKE. SMOKE requires emissions inventories and ancillary data. Both are described below.
The emissions inventories that are input into SMOKE fall into six source categories, Stationary area/Nonpoint, Nonroad mobile, On-road mobile, Point, Wildfire and Biogenic sources. The inventories should contain data for the pollutant species that are required by CMAQ. The emissions inventories used in SMOKE should cover the spatial domain that CMAQ will be covering.
